Core Products choose dataflow to upgrade their accounting system

Core Products and their allied companies Danscot and Fairmount Trading are based in Perth, Scotland. Core Products has been a dBFLEX user for over 20 years, having customised the product quite substantially over that period of time. The company felt that it was time to come into the 21st century and approached Dataflow to investigate the possibility of upgrading their system, whilst still retaining the customisation.

Dataflow was formed in 1981 with the specific aim of providing business software to clients whose needs could not be met by rigid off the shelf packages, of which we have well in excess of 1,000 users. In the ensuing years our philosophy has not changed.

Dataflow were able to confirm that Core Products requirements could be met quite easily, keeping their customisation intact and allowing for the product to be upgraded in the normal way.

Core Products have placed an order for a 30-user system for the 3 companies and it is anticipated that the systems will all be live within the next 5 months.

dataflow is a powerful and very flexible accounting system featuring all the functionality that is expected from today's financial software. Our clients, however, have never allowed us to lose sight of the fact that all companies do things differently.

To meet their needs we continue with our original plan of providing customisation or supplying the development tools for users to modify dataflow for themselves. By adopting this strategy clients have found that their commercial objectives are not compromised by inadequate software, but are safe in the knowledge that the core of their system has been well proven over many sites.
