BEYOND THE EURO…Dataflow~32 offers full multiple base currency support as well as EMU compliance and company consolidation
Dataflow~32, the 32-bit Windows and NT enterprise accountancy software package from UK-based Dataflow now supports accounting in any number of base currencies simultaneously. dataflow~32 not only handles day-to-day requirements such as posting sales and purchase accounts in any currency, but also allows multi-company operations to consolidate results from many different local currencies into any currency of choice, including euros.
“Many UK companies are gearing up for the euro but if international businesses look beyond the euro, being able to operate in multiple base currencies can provide great benefits through increased efficiency, accuracy and flexibility.” claims Dataflow managing director Dariush Mogtader. “Transactions can always be viewed in euros or the national currency and if monetary union does happen, dataflow~32 supports a full euro-based operation.”
dataflow~32 supports an unlimited number of base currencies and multilingual screens, personalised to the local language. Exchange differences are handled automatically and invoices in one currency can be offset with payments in another; for example, French francs as payment for dollar invoices. dataflow~32 maintains completely parallel records of transactions and balances across all base currencies.
In addition to multiple base currency support, dataflow~32 provides seamless links to other databases and Microsoft products including Excel or Word and also offers tight integration with third-party vertical applications such as manufacturing, membership, contact management, job costing, transport and logistics and payroll.

“dataflow-32 has been designed from the ground up to take full advantage of true 32-bit functionality and to exploit the power and flexibility of Microsoft’s Windows 95/98 and NT platforms and SQL Server database technology,” says Mogtader. The software is scalable from 1 to over 200 users and is easily tailored and expanded to meet individual requirements.
Sales, support and training for dataflow~32 is provided directly as well as through a network of specialist UK and international resellers and distributors. A typical dataflow~32 10 User system would cost approx. £10,000.
Dataflow’s history spans two decades and its early success was founded on the popular dBFLEX accounting system. Today Dataflow systems are installed in over a thousand sites worldwide and continues to grow rapidly as more and more businesses appreciate the power and value of dataflow~32.
