dataflow~32helps Dr. Martens manufacturer stride forward to continuous improvement

Dataflow fought off the competition to win the business when R.Griggs, manufacturer of the legendary Dr. Martens boots, decided to look for a new accounting system.

Kevin Shooter, Global IT Manager at R. Griggs explains, "We recognised that the time had come for greater reporting functionality and closer data analysis within the company's UK operation. In seeking a replacement accounting system, we were particularly impressed with the speed and ease that dataflow~32 could be customised and integrated into our proprietary systems. We felt no need to go through a rigorous tendering process, as we had worked successfully with Dataflow in the past. The new dataflow~32 system aligns with our requirements and offers all the features and functionality we need to support our business goals. By exploiting the latest 32-bit technology, dataflow~32 provides a high level of performance and flexibility."

He adds, "dataflow~32 now integrates seamlessly with our bespoke manufacturing, design and development software, without the need for re-keying or duplication of data. This saves time and effort and gives us integrated control across our processes. Very little modification was needed within our manufacturing systems to achieve this co-ordination."

R. Griggs' global operations take in Europe, the Pacific Rim and North America. At its UK based manufacturing operation in Nene Park, Rushden, Northants, the company produces some 8 million pairs of its distinctive Dr. Martens footwear every year in around 3,000 styles, for export all over the world. The company has a fifty-year history, a strong business track record, an instantly recognisable brand image and a loyal customer following.
