Integration

Your bank feed, straight into reconciliation not a re-keyed statement.

DataFlow is a registered Open Banking Third Party Provider. Connect any UK bank on the standard through a single OAuth consent flow, and DataFlow pulls your balances and statement transactions into Bank Reconciliation as pre-matched suggestions — with nothing posted until you say so.

The problem

When the statement lives outside the ledger.

If bank transactions only reach DataFlow when someone types them in, reconciliation is always waiting on the re-keying.

Re-keying the bank statement

Balances and transactions copied by hand from online banking into the cash book — slow, repetitive, and a soft spot for typing errors.

Month-end reconciliation drags

Without a live feed, matching the bank to the ledger is a manual line-by-line exercise that holds up the whole period close.

Foreign-currency accounts left to one side

Multi-currency bank accounts get reconciled last, or in a spreadsheet, because bringing the right currency into the ledger by hand is fiddly.

A cash position you cannot trust

Between one manual statement entry and the next, the ledger balance lags what is really in the bank, so cash-flow calls get made on figures that are already days out of date.

Frequently asked

Open Banking questions.

Which banks can DataFlow connect to?

DataFlow is a registered Open Banking Third Party Provider, so it can connect to any UK bank that has signed up to the Open Banking standard — in practice, every UK retail bank.

How do I set up the connection?

You start from the Open Banking auth window in the Nominal Ledger and give consent through your bank in a standard OAuth flow. Once that is done, DataFlow pulls your balances and statement transactions.

Does the feed post to the ledger automatically?

No. The integration does not auto-post. It brings the transactions into Bank Reconciliation as pre-matched suggestions, but every posting still goes through the Cash Book or a journal, so you stay in control.

Can it handle foreign-currency accounts?

Yes. Multi-currency reconciliation is supported, and foreign-currency accounts reconcile in their own currency.
